Our UPcycled Balms + Salves are ever-evolving Cali Rose Studio products. We are always improving our previous creations, so we update our recipes based on the sustainably sourced materials we have access to.
The ingredients in these Lip + Hand Balm babies is what makes them UPcycled.
Majority of the ingredients were sourced from a friend of the Studio who was closing their skincare business. Instead of allowing their useful materials to go to waste, we stepped in to give them a second chance!
Due to our method of sourcing materials we use to create these beautiful lip + hand balms, this item is made in limited quantities.
Balms + Salves Base Ingredients…
Organic White or Yellow Beeswax
Salvaged Shea Butter
Salvaged Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil
Salvaged Candelilla Wax
Salvaged Hemp / Avocado / Grapeseed Oils (a varying blend of what is available to us)
Cocoa Butter
Essential Oils and/or Fragrance Oils
*When we say 'Salvaged', we mean safely bought or sourced secondhand from small business owners.

How should I use this product?
Each reusable UPcycled Lip + Hand Balm tin holds 1oz of product. This is approximately 5 times the amount of product found in traditional tubes of lip balm, which hold around 0.15 - 0.2 ounces of product.
The wide mouth tin allows for direct application to dry lips, knuckles, and elbows.
In order to get a large amount of product to use for larger areas of the body, use your fingernail to push away from yourself, allowing the balm to collect on the back of the fingernail.
Avoid getting the product under the fingernails, as this can be wasteful + less sanitary.
Finally, rub the product between your hands to melt and apply. This product melts when in contact with body heat.

This product is for external use only.
This product should not be stored in direct sunlight.
Body heat is the best means for heating or softening this product. DO NOT PLACE THIS IN THE MICROWAVE!
This product is not for sharing. This is a personal use product and should only be used by those you don't mind sharing germs with.
Some people have greater sensitivity to essential oils than others. Avoid using this product on sensitive areas if you experience irritation.

What to do with an empty Balm or Salve container...
The metal containers some of these products come in are perfect for DIY UPcycling!
Once empty, they can be used to hold lotions, creams, medications, as traveling storage for small accessories, anything you can think of!
